Do I need to be a member of a gym?

No, you do not need to be a member of a gym. When we create your customized workout plan, we’ll design it around where you’ll be working out and the specific equipment you have access to. If you want to work out at a regular gym, we’ll design it that way. If you’d rather work out at home, we’ll put together a workout that can be done there.

Do you work with women?

Yes, we work with both men and women, and have many female clients.

I’m a beginner. Will online coaching work for me?

Absolutely. Our online personal training program is suitable for all levels of experience – from complete beginners all the way up to more advanced lifters. After signing up and filling out your initial questionnaire, your trainer will use that information to put together a workout plan that is appropriate for you. If you’re a beginner, we’re going to help you get started with a bang and see fast results. And if you’re an advanced lifter, we’ll help you get to the next level. We’ve worked with lots of people who are new to exercise and healthy eating. Remember, we were all beginners at some point. Each program is specifically tailored to your level of exercise experience.

Can I see results even if I’m in my 30’s, 40’s, or 50’s?

We work with clients of all ages, and have helped people well into their 40’s and 50’s – some who have never worked out before. You are never “too old” to get in shape. It is true that fat loss can be more difficult as you age, but that’s why you must exercise and eat differently than when you were in your 20’s. Your trainer will work with you to make sure that your plan is designed to work specifically for those your age. After working with us, we have had many clients in their 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s tell us that they are in the best shape of their life. Don’t let age be an excuse. You can be next!

How long are the workouts and how often do I do them?

That depends on your specific goals and your availability to work out. We understand that life can be busy, so we match your workouts to your schedule. In general, most of our clients enjoy workouts that are 30-60 minutes in length, 3-5 days per week. But again, this depends on your current fitness level, goals and schedule.

How do I learn the exercises?

With online coaching, we do this in two ways. First, our custom mobile app has 3D exercise demonstrations of every exercise in the program. Second, we can do form check videos of all your main exercises. If you ever have a question regarding how to do an exercise, you simply record a short video of you performing the exercise and your coach will provide you with feedback on what you should do improve. We know how important proper form is and we’ll make sure you always know exactly what to do and how to do it.

How customized is this training program?

Each of our training programs is entirely customized for each of our clients. We are not in the business of offering cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all workouts or nutrition plans. After you sign up, you’ll fill out a detailed questionnaire about your fitness goals, level of experience, workout and dietary preferences, physical limitations (if any), and more. Your trainer will then use this information to put together a workout and nutrition plan that’s perfectly tailored for you.

How will I communicate with my trainer?

Having frequent contact with your coach is important, both to keep you accountable and to ask any questions that may come up. To ensure you are making consistent progress each week, your coach will regularly check in with you once per week on Saturday or Sunday, depending on which works better for your schedule. You will send a weekly update form via email and we’ll do a detailed review of how everything went with your workouts and diet. Your coach will then reply with specific recommendations for the week ahead, and make modifications to your plan where appropriate. Many of our clients also choose to do a monthly “coaching call” where you will get one-on-one access to your coach in real-time via phone or Skype! If you need anything during the week, your coach is always just a text message, Facebook Message, or email away.

Why not just hire a trainer at my local gym?

One of the great things about online personal training is that you can work with us no matter where you are located, and entirely on your time schedule. Not only that, but online coaching is much more affordable than in-person training. In short, online coaching gives you the luxury of having your own expert personal trainer, without having to work around your trainer’s schedule or spend an arm and a leg to get the help you need.

What does the meal plan look like?

We don’t believe in meal plans that tell you exactly what to eat, minute-by-minute. Our clients have found that to be very unsustainable and unenjoyable. Instead, we help you build good habits that will make “healthy eating” easier and more enjoyable. You will get a list of proteins, carbs, and healthy fats, and we also help with how many calories to eat each day. You will also know which foods are best for you, when to eat those foods, and how much to eat of them. Your coach will give you sample plans that show you exactly what a typical day and week should look like, but the last thing we want is for you to feel restricted. That’s why we build your plan around your preferences, schedule, and taste buds.

Can I add some of my favorite foods into my plan?

Restrictive diets generally fail. No one wants to eat foods they hate everyday, while never getting to enjoy the foods they love. This is why we get to know your favorite foods and do our best to include them in your plan, without negatively impacting your results. We’re not saying you can eat pizza and ice cream every day, but it is definitely possible to enjoy your favorite foods and still be in great shape. Let us show you how!

Do I get something in the mail?

Online coaching is a virtual service that is accessible 24/7 from any desktop or mobile device. Nothing will be sent in the mail. We use a custom mobile app, as well as email/phone/Skype to communicate with our clients. When you sign up, you will choose which means of communication you prefer, and we will talk about how often you would like to communicate with your trainer (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)

How quickly can I expect to see results?

It really depends on your specific goals – but we’re fully committed to helping you reach those goals in the least amount of time possible. You’ll be happy to know that the members who follow our plans see consistent results month after month. After you get started, we’ll set a realistic timeline for your goals and make sure you continue to progress each and every week.

Is online coaching expensive?

Online Coaching is much more affordable than in-person training. That being said, if you are looking for a cheap, cookie-cutter plan, online coaching is not for you. The programs we create for our clients are personalized and time-consuming, but we are very experienced and have streamlined the process to save you time and money. How long does it take to receive my personalized plan?

Instead of sending you a typical cookie-cutter plan within 24 hours, we take the time to get to know you and design a program that is specifically designed for you. In almost all cases, you will be able to start your program within 48-72 hours.

How do I know if I will do well with this plan?
